Richard Branson, head of the Virgin Group, may be trying to bring his successful Virgin Mobile cell phone brand to India. India is one of the largest upcoming mobile phone markets in the world and the country already has more cell phones than land lines.

An Indian Virgin Mobile would operate in Branson's typical style--as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). This means the company would buy bulk space from an existing wireless company and resell it under the Virgin brand.

GUYS BELEIVE IT THE CALL RATES R THE LOWEST AND THE SMS RATES ARE ALSO LESS. THEIR HANDSETS HAVE A PASSWORD PROTECTED SMS INBOX !!.
I HEARD THAT THEY R ALSO PAYING FOR INCOMING CALLS... wow

Err, u mean to say if we receive calls then they'll pay us?

yes they will pay 10 Paise for every minute of Incoming Call ....

Virgin the Second biggest brand after Vodafone in the World ....

may be R.com & Airtel Time soon be over...!!

i don't think that airtel would over soon. R.comm ,idea would over but not airtel and i have heard that recently airtel has launched in some other country also.
