The height of the person depends on the genes of parents.

Actually its depends on a hormone called Growth hormone. Its initiated by the pituitary gland of the endocrine system. That gland is situated to the hypothalamus of the brain. This hormone is actually initiates growth of the human body. If there is oversecretion of this hormone then it causes gigantism which means excess growth. Undersecretion of this hormone causes dwarfism . Over secretion of this hormone at a late age gives acromegaly . It means disproportionate growth of bones. I hope i had been able to make myself clear...
