 |  Beast Feast Our church sponsers this men and boys event every year (for about 6 years now) called Beast Feast. Ticks are like, $30 each and sell out within 30 minutes of starting. We've had to go on a waiting list each year to get tickets. It's amazing. This year, over 2800 men and boys attended. There were over $34,000 (yes, that's thirty-four THOUSAND) dollars worth of door prizes including muzzle loaders, rifles, ATV's, etc. The top prize was an $8000 ATV. They get a huge meal of ribs, beans, potato salad, tea, water, cookies, and I don't know what all. Entertainment and prizes are donated by local companies and businesses. They have exhibits and displays of hunting/fishing type stuff by local businesses as well. Apparently, it is a blast for the guys. David said they reported that they served over 2300 pounds of pork ribs tonight. Wowser. People come from all over and surrounding states for this thing. It's massive. It's one of the few things David and our son do together. Our son usually doesn't want to do anything not game related, but for some reason, he really enjoys this thing. __________________  |
