Which is the BEST Operating System in the World ?

As there are Windows, Mac OS and Linux as the main 3 OS in the world (we are not talking about Sun Solaris, AmigaOS, OS/2 and others here as there are not widely used). Which one do you support ?

I personally choose Windows for it's wide acceptance, great software availability and not to mention great computing performance from todays new hardwares. Only Windows can churn out most of the powers from those performance beasts. Other OS cannot match Windows in this area. I agree that there are many security issues with Windows, but that situation is constantly improving with newer version releases and service packs.

windows is good for regualr users like us but most pros prefer linux and different variants of it.

I think winows xp is preferable its really nice to use and good looking too!

Windows XP (any SP)

to me windows xp is the best. It works good for me and I like to continue with that.

I prefer VISTA too
but for gaming experience nothing beats XP's reliability
about other OSes
MAC OSX
well ahem ahem. . . for MAC OSX , The WOW started 5 years before it started for Vista.

about Linux well , its good but not for noobs

I like Windows Xp sp2... it`s the best i have used till now after Windows vista Ultimate edition...

i prefer windows as its interface is user friendly. but from security point of view linux is better as compared to windows

Nearly all servers run in linux...

Linux interface can be changed easily....
There are countless Desktop Environments...
and moreover there is compiz effect equivalent to the so called Aero effect in linux...
so UI in linux is not an exception....

who says linux is for n00bs...
All colleges,schools and various institutions have turned into linux...
My little sister learned linux within one day..
she had no prior experience before...
