In the future, the aggressive Reaper virus has wiped out most of the Earth's population, and the only way authorities can think to contain it is to wall off infected areas. The plan works for a while, until the virus reappears in noninfected areas years later. That's when a team of specialists led by Eden Sinclair (Rhona Mitra) is forced to drive into the infected areas and figure out a cure before humanity is totally eliminated from the planet.
