but a friend of mine told me that the paypal id is the yahoo address.

That sure is NOT A SPAM. For your information check what wikipedia sayds on spamming:

Moreover, that wasn't insulting but just a joke ! And that is purely allowed in forums. That is NOT called as an insult. You are right in saying that you just asked as you didn't know. These two cases clearly proves, that you gave warning due to personal reasons and NOT for breaking the rules, which is clearly unacceptable from a MODERATOR !

I too received the warning for no reason.
The question is like that then you will get the same answers from other members too.
Just because you have some moderators right with you,you can't give such warnings to members.
It was just a joke you should have take that with right spirit.
If you think that it was a spam then here lots of members doing spam with giving some crappy comment and then you should give warning to all of them.This is naked truth of SUB.All want to get their post count bigger and bigger.
I can challenge you that you remove this money per post offer and then look for number of people give posts here.There will be very less(genuine) members will remain on this forum.
