 |  India shooters bag two medals The first day of the 2nd Asian Air Gun Shooting Championship being held in Nanjing, China, saw Indian shooters claim a gold and a bronze medal. The Indian team of Anjali Bhagwat (396), Priya Aggarwal (396) and Suma Shirur (395) combined well to garner a total of 1187/1200 to outplay Singapore (1184) and China (1183) to win the gold in air rifle team event on Monday. Earlier in the day, Anjali Bhagwat won India's first medal when she claimed the bronze in the individual air rifle women event with a tally of 498.9 points. The gold went to Vi Zang of China with 499.2 while Xiang Wei of Singapore bagged the silver with 499.3 points. In Air Rifle Junior Women event, Ayonika Paul of India stood 6th with a score of 393/400. good luck. keep it up. |
